General Lock ED2300V-P 689 36 Surface Vertical Rod Standard Duty Exit Device (Aluminum)
The General Lock ED2300V-P 689 36 is a Surface Vertical Rod (SVR) Exit Device engineered to deliver smooth, code-compliant emergency egress and reliable two-point security. Specifically designed for standard 36-inch wide doors up to 84 inches high, this surface-mounted panic bar secures the door leaf at both the top header and bottom threshold, making it the premier choice for double doors and high-traffic openings.
As part of the heavy-duty ED2300 series, this device is “Panic-Rated” (P) for life-safety compliance. Finished in a highly durable US28 Painted Aluminum (689) coating, this unit ships as an “Exit Only” (EO) configuration, providing a clean, hardware-free exterior profile that prevents unauthorized entry from the outside while keeping the path outward completely safe and unobstructed.
For use on a 1-door or double doors with or without a mullion. For 1-3/4 in. thick standard RHR or LHR hollow metal doors and wood doors. Minimum stile width: 3-1/2 in. for vertical rod. All devices and accessories are to be used on a 1-3/4 in. standard door.
